The Dragons defeated the Ballarat Falcons by 27 points on Saturday afternoon at the Tom Flood Sports Centre to secure consecutive Goldfield Bowls, final scores 53-26.
Dragons head coach Matt Plathe said the win over the Falcons had given the team confidence.
"It was a really good effort from the team to secure back-to-back wins," Plathe said.
"It has helped build confidence for all our players and bragging rights for another 12 months."
The Goldfields Bowl was first held in 2013 to celebrate both the Dragons and Falcons entering the Gridiron Victoria competition.
Bendigo has managed to claim the bowl almost every year apart from 2017 when the Falcons triumphed.
Dragons are currently in seventh position on the GV ladder with a 3-5 record.
"It has taken some time for the team to get going and to get the offence clicking together," Plathe said.
"But now it's all starting to come together and everyone is improving.
"We're starting to look like quite a challenging team."
Dragons will hit the road this Saturday for a game against the Peninsula Sharks 0-7. The match will be held at MacPherson Recreation Park Reserve at 10.30am.
The Western Crusaders are the league's top team and sit firmly in first position on the ladder with an 8-0 record.
