Herbert is now T18 ahead of the final round of the Italian Open.

He recorded a two under-par 69 in the third round to make it into the top 20.

Herbert will tee-off in the final round at 8.34pm tonight AEST.

England's Matthew Fitzpatrick is on top of the leaderboard at 13 under-par.

Lucas Herbert has bounced back to make the cut at the Italian Open.

Herbert recorded nine-under par 65 in the second round of the tournament to put himself in T28 with an overall score of three-under par.

The round included an eagle on the par five 9^th and was almost error free apart from a bogey on the par four 8^th.

After the first round Herbert was far back in the field after an opening score of three-over par 74.

Herbert will tee-off in round three with England's Ross Fisher at 7:14pm AEST tonight.
