MITIAMO has secured the first addition to its Loddon Valley league premiership list with the signing of former Kangaroo Flat coach Corey Greer.
Midfielder-forward Greer has spent the past six seasons with the Roos, which included co-coaching the club alongside Shawn Filo in 2017.
"It's fantastic to have Corey at our footy club," Mitiamo co-coach Tyrone Downie said on Friday.
"Anyone like Corey who has coached senior footy before is great to have at your club with his leadership as well as what he brings as a player.
"He's still a very good player... we went after him firstly for his playing ability, but he brings that extra leadership side of things as well.
"He's really the perfect fit for us. One thing we know we lacked a bit of this year was leg speed and Corey will give us some of that around the contest.
"And we know he can play midfield and up forward and kick goals."
Greer slotted 89 goals in his six seasons at the Roos, with his signing adding to the list of former Kangaroo Flat players now at Mitiamo.
The Superoos' premiership side of this year featured eight former players from the Roos.
From the victorious grand final team Downie has indicated it's unlikely fellow forward Justin Maddern will pull the boots back on, while Luke Scott and Brent Downie are also potential departures.
Downie will continue to co-coach with Andy Grant.
The Superoos defeated Pyramid Hill by 22 points in the grand final, 11.16 (82) to 9.6 (60), after overcoming a 31-point deficit during the first quarter.
The club also won the A Grade netball flag.

The Superoos finally shrugged off their bridesmaid tag by winning their first premiership in a decade.
The Superoos had lost three of the previous four grand finals, but after a scratchy start when they trailed Pyramid Hill by 31 points during the first quarter, they proved too good for the Bulldogs, winning the flag by 22 points.
And in the wake of the premiership success president Rob Clohesy was quick to put to bed any talk that this could possibly be the Superoos' swansong season, saying: "we're alive and in a healthy position and going nowhere".
2019 is certainly a year midfielder Terry Reeves will look back on fondly.
Not only was he co-captain of the premiership team with Jarryd Wiegard, but Reeves also won the league's Harding Medal. Big year indeed.
