The Brent Stanley-trained colt will take on a handy field in a benchmark 64 handicap for three-year-olds.
Tough opposition for Truffle House is headed by the James Cummings-trained Varda, who has been placed twice in two starts this preparation at Flemington and Sandown, and the highly-rated recent Sale winner Zoujea, from the Danny O'Brien stable.
The well-regarded son of Smart Missile and Ocelot will be one of two runners on the eight-race program for Stanley, who has Snipes entered in a 1600m benchmark 70.
Other runners of interest on an unusually quiet day for the local training fraternity include the Shaun Dwyer-trained maiden Chilula in the opening race.
The mare is returning to racing after a 20-week spell, but finished fourth in his previous start at Flemington over 1600m. Wednesday's race is a 1300m event.
The four-year-old has a trio of placings alongside her name in five starts and will get every chance to open her account with Lachlan King in the saddle.
Fresh from an overdue win at the last Bendigo meeting on September 26, Rod Symons is chasing back-to-back triumphs with the four-year-old Bedouin King.
The gelding has largely been a model of consistency through the early part of his career with a win and four placings in nine starts and will step up a further 200m to 2400m in a benchmark 70 (race three).
Josh Julius is targeting a 1400m benchmark 64 event (race two) with Septzento, who is second-up after a last start fourth at Bendigo over 1300m.
The first race on Wednesday is at 1pm. The meeting will be the last before the club's hugely-popular beach party race day on October 19, with the Group 3 Bendigo Cup to follow on October 30.
Fields will be published in Wednesday's Bendigo Advertiser.
