It follows safety concerns highlighted by two violent assaults against staff last week, which saw three people taken to hospital.
Discussions started on Friday, as centre staff participated in a health and safety cease work.
Community Public and Service Union spokesperson Julian Kennelly said some of the centre's clients had restricted movement, while others were fully locked down.

"We made progress on Friday," Mr Kennelly said.
But an agreement was not reached.
