Heathcote resident Gary Leary, 55, pleaded guilty in the Bendigo Magistrates' Court to speeding and breaching his interlock condition.
On the afternoon of January 31 this year, Leary was pulled over on his motorcycle on the Northern Highway at Pyalong, after police officers detected him travelling at 136 km/h in the 100 km/h zone.
A check of his probationary licence revealed he had to use a vehicle with an alcohol interlock fitted, but the motorcycle he was riding did not have such a device.
In relation to his speeding, Leary told police he was "just getting into the spirit of the ride" and as for the lack of the interlock, he said his motorcycle with the device needed work.

Magistrate Patrick Southey noted Leary had a "terrible driving history", particularly of driving while banned.
He said a jail term was not out of range, and breaching an interlock condition was a serious offence.
But Mr Southey took into account Leary's guilty plea, telling him he would have faced a month's jail on the interlock condition alone if not for that.
Leary was instead convicted and fined $1500, plus costs.
"You've got to do the right thing - with respect, you're such a slow learner," Mr Southey said.
Leary was also banned from driving for six months.
"You understand if you're caught driving in the next six months, you'll almost certainly go to jail," Mr Southey said.
