The defender won the Pioneers' club champion award in a thrilling vote count at The Bendigo Club on Thursday night.
Schischka polled 65 votes to edge out Will Wallace on 62 votes.
Last Saturday, Schischka and Wallace both played in premiership sides for Strathfieldsaye in the BFNL. Schischka in the reserves and Wallace in the seniors.
Classy midfielder Jeremy Rodi finished third on 60 votes, one ahead of key forward Josh Treacy on 59.
Strathfieldsaye duo Riley Wilson and Jack Ginnivan tied on 50 votes, just ahead of Sam Conforti (47) and ruckman Aaron Gundry (44).
Sandhurst duo Ben Worme (39) and Noah Walsh (33) rounded out the top 10.
Rodi won the Players Player Award, while Ginnivan won the Steven Reaper Leading Goalkicker Award with 18 goals.
The John Turner Memorial best club person went to popular assistant coach Danny O'Bree.
The Pioneers recognised their representative players for 2019.
All-Australian honours went to Brodie Kemp.
Victoria Country representatives were Brodie Kemp, Flynn Perez, James Schischka, Ben Worme, Brady Rowles, Thomson Dow, Sam Conforti and Josh Treacy.
Allies representatives were Will Shaw, Logan Fitzgerald and Jake Dick-O'Flaherty.
Meanwhile, Josh Treacy will play in the under-17 All-Star Futures Clash at the MCG on Saturday morning.
The games showcases the best talent available for the 2020 AFL Draft.
Treacy will play for Team Brown, which will be coached by Brisbane Lions great Luke Power.
