Music coordinator Ashleigh Yeates said the night was one of Catherine McAuley College's major events in the perfomance calendar.

Ms Yeates said it was important to celebrate music at a top level, and those working towards big goals in their musical education.
The performances on the evening reflected this hard work.
"It was awesome. It was really really slick, such really good quality of music on display," Ms Yeates said.
"It was so nice to just sit and listen to these kids get up and perform, it was really good."

And of course, it was good for them to practice managing their nerves when performing.
She said she was proud of the children putting themselves out there to perform.
