Police have nabbed a driver going almost 40 kilometres over the speed limit in Ravenswood on Sunday morning.

Police clocked the Nissan X-Trail travelling at 138 kilometres per hour in a 100 kilometres per hour section of the Calder Highway about 8.50am.
The officers intercepted the vehicle and spoke to the 43-year-old driver from Leitchville.
She has received a $620 fine for speeding, a $413 fine for driving an unroadworthy vehicle, and had her licence suspended for six months.
The intercept was part of Operation Argus, which focuses on impaired driving, motorcycles, excessive speed, driver distraction and not wearing seatbelts.
The state-wide operation will run through to Sunday night.
