Bendigo East Swimming Club members impressed at the recent Victorian Country Short Course Championships in Ballarat.

Bendigo East ended the swim meet with a fourth place finish in the overall combined teams point score.
Layla Day had a stellar performance with six individual medals, inlcuding gold in the girls 16-17 100m freestyle, 100m individual medley, 100m butterfly, 100m backstroke and 200m freestyle and bronze in the 200m indivdual medley.
Hunter Boswell claimed gold in the boys 12-13 backstroke. Harry Downing scored a bronze medal in the boys 16-17 100m backstroke.
Lily Eldridge won gold in the girls 14-15 100m breaststroke and bronze in the 100IM.
Emily Kearns scored a bronze medal in the girls 14-15 100m backstroke.
Nicolas Kearns won three gold medals in the boys 11-and-under 50m backstroke, 50m freestyle and 100m freestyle.
Sebastian Wood claimed four individual medals, scoring gold in the boys 16-17 100m freestyle, 100IM, 100m butterfly and silver in 100m backstroke.
The club scored a silver medal in the mixed 14-and-over 50m medley relay.
"All swimmers prepared themselves well with the assistance of coaches Chris Geyer, John Jordan, and Anne Sherman,'' club president Phil Downing said.
