Homicide Squad detectives are investigating the man's death.
Police believe the man in his 50s may have been involved in a physical altercation at a sporting club on Broadway at about 9.30pm.
Emergency services responded and attempted to revive the man but he died at the scene.
The exact circumstances surrounding the incident are yet to be determined, police say.
