Strath Village and Maryborough Supa IGAs both put notices out to customers saying they will be closed until further notice.
Signs have been stuck to the roller-doors of the Strath Village IGA store saying changes are coming.
"We apologise for any inconvenience but hang in there as we undergo some changes," the sign reads.
"We'll be back very soon bigger and better than before.
"IGA would like to thank all of the loyal customers for your support over the years."

A sign outside the Bakers Delight opposite the Strath Village IGA highlights the supermarket's impending change of ownership.
It reads: "We, the staff at Bakers Delight wish to thank you, our loyal and supportive customers, for your continued support during this difficult period as IGA undergoes its change of ownership."
The Maryborough Supa IGA published a Facebook post on Thursday saying circumstances beyond their control have forced them to close their doors.
"We would like to thank each and every one of our incredibly loyal customers for your patience and understanding, especially in the past few weeks," the post reads.
"We will be reopening at a later date but at the time of this post we are completely unsure of an exact date."
Its proposed site is 5 Innovation Court, Kennington - next to Strath Village Shopping Centre.
