Bright finish to the season for the Bloods, with Kaiden Antonwicz kicking 13 goals and Brock Harvey adding seven. The 148-point margin, plus the fact Derrick Filo came out of retirement to fill a spot for Castlemaine, summed up the Magpies' season. Filo kicked two of the Pies' seven goals.

Gisborne 10.19 (79) d Golden Square 8.14 (62)

Gisborne led by 20 points at the first change and kept Square at bay for the rest of the match. Midfielders Bradley Bernacki and Ethan Minns were superb for Gisborne, while Jon Coe and Jack Geary were best for Square.

Eaglehawk 34.19 (223) d Kangaroo Flat 6.7 (43)

Brodie Filo snared seven goals as the Borough humiliated the Roos at Dower Park. Sean Williams, Jarryd Pertzel and Riley Saunders combined for 19 goals between them, while Richard Tibbett and Ryan Gillingham were the best players on the ground. Matthew Clifford and Nathan McHugh were best for the Roos.

Sandhurst 17.18 (120) d Kyneton 11.11 (77)

Lachlan Ross and Nick Stagg led the Dragons to a 43-point win over the Tigers. Rhys Magin and Josh Govan were best for a Kyneton side that bid farewell to outgoing coach Luke Beattie.

Strathfieldsaye 33.24 (222) d Maryborough 3.7 (25)

In the twilight game, the Storm handed Maryborough a 197-point thumping. Lachlan Sharp kicked 12 goals to finish the home and away season with 129 majors. It was not the finish outgoing Maryborough coach Ben Lavars wanted or deserved.

Qualifying final

Colbinabbin 20.9 (129) d Lockington-Bamawm United 15.10 (100)

The Hoppers trailed by as many as 33 points in the first quarter before bouncing back to upstage the Cats in a shootout. Dan Connors kicked seven goals for Colbo and was named best alongside Todd Bryant and Nick Knight. Joseph Wolfe and Tyler Phillips were best for the Cats. Colbo plays North Bendigo in next week's second semi-final, while the Cats play in the first semi-final.

Second semi-final

Mitiamo 11.22 (88) d Pyramid Hill 10.6 (66)

The Superoos are through to the grand final after an impressive win over minor premier Pyramid Hill. Mitiamo had 17 scoring shots to nine in the first half, but still trailed by two points at the main break. The Superoos found their range with a 6.2 to 1.2 third term to blow the game open. Lucas Matthews and Max Simpson were best for Mitiamo, while Gavin James and Sam Mewett were best for the Dogs.

First semi-final

Charlton 10.9 (69) d Donald 6.5 (41)

Charlton's season is alive after it kicked six goals to two in the final quarter in the first semi-final win over Donald. Aaron Walklate and Mitch Gleeson led the way for Charlton, while James Wall and Damian Cameron battled hard for Donald.

Wildcard round

Northern Knights 15.7 (97) d Bendigo Pioneers 7.13 (55)

The Bendigo Pioneers' season is over after they were outclassed by the Northern Knights at Preston on Saturday. The Pioneers led by 16 points at quarter-time, but only managed four more goals for the game. Ruckman Aaron Gundry was the leading possession winner with 20
