The winner of the game will advance to the 2019 Central Victoria Football League Women's grand final against the undefeated Golden Square.
Statistically speaking, Kangaroo Flat will go into the match with the upper-hand as the team has won each of the three games played between the two sides earlier in the season.
However, it's footy finals and anything can happen.
Storm coach Graham Gamble said the team was currently performing at its best standard.
"In the previous games against Kangaroo Flat, they were able to get the jump on us early and when you're up against a quality side such as them, it can be very hard to come back from," Gamble said.
Storm secured its spot in the preliminary after defeating North Bendigo by 30 points in the semi-final.
The Storm trailed the Bulldogs up until half-time, but came back fighting to secure the win.
"I'm happy with the brand of football we've been playing especially after we came back from behind last weekend against North Bendigo," Gamble said.
"It was a massive confidence builder for the team.
"It was all about the mindset of the group and embedding the belief in ourselves that we could come back and win the game."
One of the biggest boosts for the Storm will be return of Britney Mueck, who has overcome injury just in time to play in the team's biggest game so far this season.
"Kangaroo Flat are a good side and have shown great development, they deserve to be where they are," Gamble said.
"Everyone is looking forward to the game, it's been a great contest every time we've played."
Roos' coach Mark Hull said the team wasn't taking the match against the Storm "lightly".
"We've gone back to basics to work out a few things we thought let us down last week that will help us to be able to beat Strathfieldsaye this weekend," Hull said.
The Roos were defeated by Golden Square in the semi-finals by 36 points, which saw the Bulldogs advance directly to the grand final.
However, finishing second on the ladder gave the Roos the double chance, which is on the line this weekend.
"Kicking only one goal last week, we can't afford to do that in finals," Hull said.
The match between the Roos and the Storm is on Sunday at 2.30pm at Weeroona Oval.
