A HEATHCOTE man has recorded a blood alcohol reading of more than three times the legal limit.

Senior Constable Karl Kerschbaumer said the 58-year-old man was intercepted just outside Heathcote on Tuesday night and recorded a positive preliminary breath test.
He was taken back to the Heathcote Police Station where he recorded a second breath test of 0.166.
The man's licence was immediately suspended and his car was impounded.
He was charged on summons for drink driving and failing to stop for police.
The 58-year-old will appear at the Bendigo Magistrates Court at a later date.
