Club life member Megs Campbell has held almost every position possible at the club, whether it be secretary, treasurer or president, her involvement stems back many years.
Campbell was invited by the club to officially run the first hoop to kick off the 2019 croquet season.
QHCC president Helen Gourlay said the club members looked forward to getting the season underway.
"We have pennant competitions starting in a few weeks, as well as some members in state teams and a regional competition later in the season," Gourlay said.
The club competes in the Northern District Croquet Association which also includes Golden Square, Bendigo, Castlemaine, Kyneton, Macedon Ranges, Maryborough and Maldon.
It has a strong membership base of around 44, with several eager to get the younger generation involved in the sport by holding come-and-try sessions at schools throughout the region.
"We've just been out to Quarry Hill Primary School to do a session and we're also doing one with Spring Gully Primary School," Gourlay said.
