TRENTHAM produced a footballing rarity on Saturday when all 22 of its players kicked goals in the Saints' 368-point demolition of Campbells Creek.
The second-placed Saints rounded out their Maryborough-Castlemaine District league home and away season by thrashing the Creekers 56.33 (369) to 0.1 (1).
The spread of 22 goalkickers featured 15 players who kicked multiples, including Josh Murphy, who bagged 10.
While acknowledging the rarity of the feat of having every player in his side kick a goal, Trentham co-coach Clayton Scoble paid credit to Campbells Creek.
"It's a credit to them that they have kept the club going after there had been some talk halfway through the year they might pull it, but they have stuck at it and survived,'' Scoble said.
Trentham's 368-point win headlined a one-sided final round where the average margin was 136 points.
There were four other triple-figure blowouts: Carisbrook by 148 points over Harcourt; Lexton by 127 over Rovers; Newstead by 119 over Dunolly; and Natte Bealiba by 118 over Talbot.
In other games, Maldon defeated Royal Park by 42 points and Navarre upset Avoca by 31 points.
Newstead climbed into eighth spot and knocked Avoca out of the finals.
NORTH CENTRAL - ROYALS CLING ONTO FOURTH SPOT... JUST
DONALD has only just clung onto its spot in the North Central league finals after narrowly avoiding an upset from St Arnaud on Saturday.
A loss would have cost the Royals fourth spot, but they just did enough to get over the line, winning by two points, 7.10 (52) to 6.14 (50).
The result continued a recent trend of close matches between the Royals and Saints, with three of their past four meetings having now been decided by four points or less.
The close call for the Royals, who play Charlton next Saturday in the first semi-final, rubbed salt into the wounds of Wedderburn, which would have taken over fourth spot had Donald lost.
The Redbacks celebrated coach Danny Benaim's 300th game milestone in style, belting Boort by 146 points, 27.16 (178) to 5.2 (32).
Ben DeAraugo slotted eight goals for the Redbacks, who for the fifth year in a row since winning their last of four-consecutive flags in 2014 will miss the finals.
Boort ends a tough year winless.
In Saturday's other two round 16 games, the league's two power teams both rounded out their home and away seasons with wins.
Minor premier Sea Lake Nandaly beat Charlton 14.16 (100) to 10.5 (65) and Birchip-Watchem defeated Wycheproof-Narraport 21.22 (148) to 8.8 (56).
