A determined Lowe powered along the 5km trek at No.7 Crusoe Reservoir in Kangaroo Flat.
A field of 25 took on the testing course and cool conditions in a bid to gain points for the upcoming Dick Kitt Memorial final.
One of the most consistent this BAC season, Lowe charged to the lead at 500 metres to go and was 20 seconds clear of his nearest rival.
Runner-up was the in-form Phil Noden as Kerry Ellis put in a strong sprint to finish just in front of Peter Le Busque as Kevin Shanahan was not far away.
Athletes in the veteran class were the first five at the post.
In the children's 1km run, Edward Boase charged from the backmarkers mark of 2:30 to take the lead at 100 metres to go and record his second win of the season.
It was a unique trifecta for the Boase family as Edward charged to the finish in front of sister Amelia and younger brother Abel.
Alirah Norton put in another great effort to be fourth as Maeve Goodall-Hoffman was fifth.
Race organisers said it was a brilliant effort by all in the wet conditions.
Next Sunday, BAC is back at Crusoe Reservoir for the non-penalty 3.2km run before the season finale, the Dick Kitt Final the following Sunday at at Woodvale Recreation Reserve.
