With five generations nurturing and helping to grow Grogans Machinery, it has become very much a family owned and operated business.
The agricultural business was established by the family forefathers one hundred years ago.
Paddy Grogan was the original owner, and worked on his parents property at Mt Pleasant in Northern Victoria. After his parents retired they moved to Elmore.
Paddy decided that there was a need to service the very big agricultural needs of the community, hence Grogans Machinery was established in 1919.
Paddy grew the business, supplied grain and agricultural equipment.
Andrew Grogan (snr) took over the reins of the business and supported the local farming community with terms of credit and much needed support in times of extreme hardship for farmers trying to re-establish after the great depression of the 1930s - his goodwill was his legacy.
The business became an integral part of the agricultural industry.
Maurice took over the reins of the business in the early 60's, and increased the business to sell more agricultural brands such as John Deere tractors, John Shearer Tillage and Horwood Bagshaw seeders, and the business became an integral part of the agricultural industry.
His son Andrew joined the business the late 70's and completed his Diesel Mechanic apprenticeship, Matthew later joined the company after completing his panel beaters apprenticeship both boys worked with Maurice for many years.

After Maurice's retirement in 1998, Andrew and Matthew continued in Elmore for a few years, but as the shifting swing of the agricultural industry was growing, it was decided to move the business to Bendigo to have the access to more prominent and quality branded franchises.
Because of the prominent position in Epsom Grogans Machinery can display its quality range of tractors and Implements.
Thomas Grogan (Andrew's Sons) joined the business in 2008 as an apprentice Diesel Mechanic, Tom has taken on the role as service manager and continues to undertake extensive training to enhance his chosen career.
