Despite going down to the Bulls by 8 points, the Miners put up a hard-fought effort in preparations for the coming semi-final rematch with the Bulls this weekend.
In the recent game against the Bulls, both teams were met with difficult conditions, but it was Bendigo that led at the first break by five points.
However, the Bulls came out raring in the second half and took control of the game thanks to their forwards.
After strong efforts from both teams, it was the Bulls that were victorious, final scores 22-14.
Miners coach and player Dave McDonald was impressed with his squad's effort against the Rugby Victoria Championship division's top team.
McDonald praised the forwards' dominance at the set piece but also acknowledged several areas of improvement, such as lost scoring opportunities which the Miners can improve before the semi-final rematch.
