THE Bendigo District and Emu Valley cricket association's players of the year have both received a post-season honour with selection in the Victorian Country Cricket League's Team of the Year.
Strathdale-Maristians' Cameron Taylor and Spring Gully's Rhys Webb were both named among the 12 in the team following their stellar all-round seasons.
Webb earned the No.6 position in the team for a season for the Crows in which he was not only the EVCA's leading run-scorer, but also chipped in with 15 wickets.
Webb plundered 825 runs, which included three centuries - 124 against Maiden Gully, 180 against West Bendigo and 165 against Mandurang, while he also played a crucial semi-final innings of 81 against United.
The all-rounder won the EVCA's Player of the Year with 15 votes - five clear of his nearest rival.
Meanwhile, leg-spinner Taylor was the BDCA's most dominant bowler, ending the season with a haul of 49 wickets to go with 461 runs.
Taylor's season was headlined by a brilliant all-round match against White Hills in the last round, taking 12 wickets and scoring 127 runs without going out, in the Suns' outright win that elevated them into the finals.
By polling 16 votes, Taylor won his third BDCA Cricketer of the Year award, having also done so in 2016-17 and 2011-12.
Taylor was picked at No.9 in the Team of the Year.
