Tessari is the latest addition to the squad, under the guidance of the team's new coach Tracy York.
"We are delighted to have Kara back with the Spirit this coming season," York said.
"She's a hard worker, great teammate and we look forward to what she brings to the group."
During the 2018/19 WNBL season Tessari averaged 2.1 points, .4 assist and .6 rebounds per game.
Tessari couldn't be happier about her return to the Spirit.
"It is going to be such an exciting season and I cannot wait to be a part of it," Tessari said.
"Bendigo is a really special place with an amazing community of loyal supporters."
Tessari will join Shyla Heal, Carley Ernst, Abbey Wehrung, Alicia Froling, Tessa Lavey, Gabe Richards, Kelly Wilson and Becca Tobin on the 2019/20 roster.
"Tracy has put together an awesome group and we are looking forward to hitting the floor and having a great season together," Tessari said.
During the past few months Tessari has been playing with the Kilsyth Cobras in the NBL1, where she is averaging 10.3 points, 1.7 rebounds and 3.4 assists, playing a key role as one of the team's starters.
Recently the Cobras defeated the Bendigo Braves women in the first final, final scores 85-70.
This weekend will see the Braves take on the Geelong Supercats, while the Cobras will take on the Nunawading Spectres.
The winners of each game will then go head-to-head in the grand final on August 17.
The 2019/20 WNBL fixture was released last week with the Spirit to tip-off its season at home against the Melbourne Boomers at the Bendigo Stadium on Saturday, October 12.
