The Upper Coliban, Malmsbury and Lauriston reservoirs near Kyneton have long been stocked with trout, but fishers can now get on the water in canoes, kayaks and boats with electric motors.
The same goes for the Hepburn Lagoon near Daylesford.
The changes are part of a $35 million state government push to drive up the number of anglers in Victoria.
More stories:
That push has included stocking all three Kyneton reservoirs with nearly 110,000 native fish fingerlings.
The reservoirs were stocked last summer.
Plans are also underway to build boat ramps at Upper Coliban and Lauriston reservoirs over the next 12 months.
The openings of four waters by Coliban Water and Goulburn Murray Water come after similar expansions at the Barkers Creek and Tullaroop reservoirs last April and May.
