FUNDRAISERS
REACH OUT FOR RYAN
Join in for a movie fundraiser to assist in home modifications for Ryan Healy and his family.
Ryan Healy has Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy, a degenerative muscle wasting disorder that has no cure.
This fundraising event not only supports the home modifications but will also allow the family to buy a mobility vehicle and raise awareness for the disease.
The movie shown will be The Lion King, perfect as a family activity.
Tickets are selling for $20 to $30 with the option of popcorn and a drink. There will also be a raffle on the night.

RELAY FOR LIFE
Peter Sheahan's Walk-Up is on again this Sunday.
This event has been raising money for local charities for more than eight years.
This weekend, door proceeds will go towards the Relay For Life, raising money and supporting those living with and affected by cancer.
The event has all types of music genres from country to pop, rock to folk. There will be various performances from Ken Bice, Rod Briant, Bruce Fenton, Annette Sharp, Olive Bice and many more. Walk-up artists welcome.
The event will also include an afternoon tea and lucky door prizes.

COMMUNITY EVENTS
BIRTHDAY CELEBRATION
Headspace Bendigo is a youth health service for those aged 12-25.
The group is operated by Bendigo Community Health Services and offers support from professionals with a range of medical, sexual and mental health issues.
Headspace is turning eight next Wednesday and invites the community to help celebrate.
The event features various entertainment, games, a barbecue, activities, cake and much more.

NATIONAL TREE DAY
In 2016 about 4000 native trees and shrubs were planted in Ironbark as part of National Tree Day.
This year, Ironbark Gully Friends community will head back to the spot to fill in the gaps and plant some more much-needed trees.

BOOGIE NIGHTS
Enjoy an evening of dance, a good program and a delicious home-cooked supper with the Spring Gully Hall Committee.
The event will include music by Carmel Phelan, raffles and prizes.

EXHIBITIONS
BODY POLITICS
Body Politics showcases Bendigo Art Gallery's permanent collection, bringing together the voices that explore cultural shift over 50 years.
In the more recent decades, traditional portraiture has become a presence in discussions around race, gender and identity.
The works showcase contemporary artists who continue to push boundaries. Works are by leading artists such Emily Kngwarreye, Michael Cook, Abdul Abdullah and more.
The exhibition is free.

WINTER ART
Escape the winter chill and head indoors to see about 180 artworks displayed in heated facilities, at the 12th annual Winter Art Show.
All artworks are for sale and there is sure to be something to suit everyone.
The three-day show will include art prizes awarded in four categories, oil, acrylic, watercolour and other media. The pieces will be judged by artist Patrick Verdon, with the winner in each receiving $250.
There will also be a raffle featuring three great prizes, including an artwork by Patrick Verdon as first prize.
Raffle tickets are $2 each and drawing is on Sunday, July 28.
Entry into the show is $3.

DOLL SHOW
This doll show features all things dolls, teddies and old toy-related.
Monies raised from the event will go back to the community, raising for charities in need.
The show will also feature the Doll Doctor on site for repairs, a raffle at the door and a silent auction.
Tickets adults $5, concession: $4.50 and children $2.
Where: Anglican Church Hall, opposite McDonald's, High Street, Echuca.
When: Saturday, July 27, from 9.30am to 4.30pm.
WINTER BLUES FESTIVAL
The 20th annual Echuca-Moama Winter Blues Festival has established itself as the place to be for blues and roots music.
This musical event will feature more than 60 blues and roots performers from across the country, expecting to play to crowds of about 20,000.
The event is also set to delight not only adults, with children able to participate in a variety of free activities at the Kids Space at Hopwood Gardens.
Children can enjoy face painting, a jumping castle, fairy floss and craft activity zone, while parents can be entertained by performances from The Barren Spinsters, Copenhagen, and Ian Collard.
