The Storm will finish minor premiers after disposing of Gisborne in the match of the round. The Bulldogs kicked the first three goals of the game, but they couldn't maintain that intensity and the Storm gradually wore them into the ground. Lachy Sharp kicked four goals for Strathfieldsaye and Josh Formosa kicked three goals in the final quarter. Gisborne midfielder Matt Goodyear hobbled off the ground in the final quarter.

Kangaroo Flat 10.6 (66) d Kangaroo Flat 9.9 (63)

Kyneton midfielder Rhys Magin had a set shot from 50m out as the siren sounded, but his shot was wide and short and the Roos celebrated their third win of the season. Kangaroo Flat forward Matt Boland kicked five of his side's 10 goals, while Dylan Klemm was instrumental in the win. Kyneton's best were Josh Govan and Max O'Sullivan, who kicked four goals.

Castlemaine 2.3 (15) lt Eaglehawk 20.20 (140)

Regulation win for the Borough. Ben McPhee and Cam McGlashan led the way, while the Borough had 11 individual goalkickers. Jake O'Brien and Matt Filo were best for Castlemaine.

Maryborough 9.14 (68) lt Sandhurst 13.11 (89)

The Dragons needed a five-goal-to-one third term to shake off a gallant Maryborough. Will Holt kicked four goals for Sandhurst, while ruckman Chris Down and defender Jake Wilkinson were four-quarter contributors. Jayden Hooper and Luke Bucknall played well for the Pies, while teen Liam Latch kicked three goals.

South Bendigo 7.7 (49) lt Golden Square 14.13 (97)

The Dogs kicked seven goals to one in a big final term to get the points over the Bloods. Midfield trio Adam Baird, Ryan Hartley and Jack Geary did the damage for Square. The Dogs had 11 individual goalkickers. Coach Nathan Horbury and forward Kaiden Antonowicz (three goals) were best for South Bendigo.

Leitchville-Gunbower 14.14 (98) d Heathcote 10.9 (69)

Important win for the Bombers as they try to stay in the top five. Logan Prout and Matt Pollock did plenty of damage for the Bombers, while Dylan Robinson and Tom Pain were best for the Saints.

Huntly 5.5 (35) lt Colbinabbin 12.17 (89)

Nick Knight and Hugh McMurtrie were the standout players on the ground in Colbo's nine-goal win. Jack Daley and Jack burns (three goals) were best for a Huntly side that was competitive for mich of the day.

Mt Pleasant 14.11 (95) d Elmore 11.20 (86)

Mounts dodged a bullet as they try to stay in the HDFNL top five. The young Saints led the home side by 13 points at half-time and kicked 1.7 in the final quarter. Ben Weightman kicked six goals for Mounts, while Mitch Bennett and Jackson Hufer were their best players. Bailey Boyack and Romain Grenville (five goals) stood out for Elmore.

Calivil United 11.9 (75) d Mitiamo 9.7 (71)

Massive performance by the Demons. The four-point win keeps their finals hopes alive and puts a severe dent in the Superoos' minor premiership campaign. Sam Demeo and Jake Hall were outstanding for Calivil, while the wayward Superoos were best served by Tyrone Downie and Luke Lougoon.

Newbridge 7.12 (54) lt Maiden Gully YCW 14.13 (97)

The reigning premier Maroons look out of the finals race after Saturday's heavy loss to the Eagles. MGYCW only led by 12 points at the main break, before kicking four goals to one in the third quarter to put the Maroons away. Dylan Morris and Nick Waterson won plenty of the ball for MGYCW. Tim Zabilowicz and Tyler Romeril played well for Newbridge.

Pyramid Hill 23.12 (150) d BL-Serpentine 14.5 (89)

The Bulldogs took a giant step towards securing the minor premiership. After bagging 11 goals last week, Braidy Dickens kicked eight goals against the Bears. James Sala and Gavin James also played well for the Dogs. Justin Laird and Matt Gibbs were best for a Bears side that has dropped its past two matches.

Marong 14.14 (98) d Bridgewater 11.11 (77)

The Panthers remain in the finals hunt after scoring an impressive 21-point win over Bridgewater. Zac Turnbull kicked four goals in a best on ground performance, while big man Justin Hynes also played well. Tyler Estrada and Kyle Chant were best for Bridgewater. The Mean Machine will find it tough to make the finals now.

Boort 2.3 (15) lt Donald 13.23 (101)

Patrick Purcell and James Wall led the way as Donald cruised to an 86-point win over the Magpies. Keiren Wilson and Patrick Bogers were best for Boort.

Charlton 13.13 (91) d St Arnaud 2.11 (23)

Superb defensive effort by the Blues to restrict the Saints to two goals. Jack Landrigan kicked three goals in a best on ground performance for Charlton. Conlan Gunn and Nick Baldwin were best for the Saints.

Wedderburn 17.14 (116) d Wycheproof-Narraport 6.12 (48)

A seven-goal first term set up the Redbacks' big win. Veteran Ben DeAraugo kicked five goals, while Luke Holt and Jackson Guan were best. For the Demons, Daniel Fynch and Dane McLennan played well.

Sea Lake Nandaly Tigers 5.5 (35) lt Birchip-Watchem 6.9 (45)

The Tigers suffered their first loss of the season in a low-scoring scrap. The Bulls led by as many as 22 points in the final term before the Tigers kicked the final two goals of the game. Jacob Christie and Riley Hogan were best for the Bulls, while the Tigers' best were Luke Martin and Alex Pollock.
