The Events Grants Program will open next week alongside the Shire's existing Community Grants Program. It will also include two funding rounds each year.
The Shire developed the program as a way for community events to battle the significant costs involved in establishing and running an event.
"We see so many amazing events from fairs and festivals, markets and swap meets to fun runs and fundraisers that bring the community together and visitors to our towns," the Shire's venues and events coordinator Natalie Parsons said.
"Council has traditionally supported local events by providing general advice, logistical support, and venue and fee waivers on a case-by-case basis.
"The new Events Grants Program will make it easier for organisers to plan and run their event, and can provide funding to help cover costs associated with producing and promoting an event.
"A formal application process will be a more fair and transparent way for event organisers to seek funding and in-kind support from council."
The next round of community and event grants opens on July 22.
