Torren Jones led the way for Albury with 24 points and nine rebounds.

The loss means the Braves probably need to win both of their two final home and away games to make the play-offs.

The Braves (9-9) plays Knox (7-10) in Melbourne on Saturday night and Geelong (12-7) in Geelong next weekend.

Meanwhile, the Bendigo Braves women cruised to a 45-point thrashing of Albury-Wodonga in Friday night's NBL1 clash.

The Bandits tested Bendigo for the first quarter, but after that the home side showed its class with a dominant performance.

After leading by just two points at quarter time, the Braves put ALbury away with a 28-12 second term burst.

The Bandits were more competitive in the third term, but the final quarter was a whitewash with the Braves outscoring Albury 31-8.

Braves guard Tessa Lavey had one of her best offensive games of the season.

Lavey scored 22 points, including an impressive 6-8 from behind the three-point line.

Centre Becca Tobin continued her consistent form, scoring 16 points to go with 13 rebounds and five assists.

Kelly Wilson was once again close to a triple-double. The star guard had 13 points, 12 assists and seven rebounds.

The Braves women can wrap up the NBL1 minor premiership by defeating Knox in Melbourne on Saturday night and Geelong next weekend.
