A spokesperson said investigations into the issue, which is affecting data services such as EFTPOS and access to ATMs, were ongoing.

EARLIER: A NUMBER of banks are reporting technical issues affecting services.
Bendigo Bank, Commonwealth Bank, Bank Australia and ANZ are among those that have advised customers of ongoing investigations via social media.
Commonwealth Bank has attributed the difficulties to an issue with one of its telco providers.
The bank's ATMs, EFTPOS terminals and some in-branch services are affected.
Customers seeking to log into CommSec might also be experiencing issues.
"We apologise to our customers who are inconvenienced by this," the bank said in a tweet.
"The cause of the problem is under urgent investigation and we are working to have full services restored as a matter of priority."
The bank said it was experiencing a higher than normal number of calls to its call centre.
"There is no need to call us if you are experiencing problems with these services," it said.
Both the CommBank app and the NetBank app are still working.
Bendigo Bank said customers could access cash at Bendigo Bank ATMs or in a branch.
"We are working to resolve the issue as fast as possible and we will update you when we know more," it said in a tweet.
"We apologise for the inconvenience."
Bank Australia said a Telstra fault was affecting EFTPOS and Osko transactions.
"We recommend customers making purchases either use Tap & Pay or select 'credit' when using a card," the bank tweeted.
"We are currently investigating the cause and will provide further updates. Sorry for the inconvenience."
ANZ EFTPOS terminals are believed to be affected.
