Lucas Herbert's final chance to secure a spot in The Open Championship is in front of him this week.
The Neangar Park product is playing in the Scottish Open, an event which is part of the qualifying series, with the top finishing players given last-minute spots for a shot at the Claret Jug.
Herbert will tee up in round one on Thursday night at the Scottish Open alongside Ricardo Gouveia (Portugal) and Alvaro Quiros (Spain) at 22.10pm AEST.
South Africa's Brandon Stone is the defending champion after finishing at 20-under par last year at Gullane.
Herbert will head into the tournament in fine form following a five-under par 65 during the final round of the Irish Open last week, finishing the tournament T55.
As a result he moved up one place to 112th in the European Tour's Race to Dubai rankings.
The top 110 players at the end of the season earn a tour card for 2020.
