BARRY Hall lived up to the hype of his keenly-anticipated first game for Harcourt on Saturday, bagging 11 goals in the Lions' 140-point belting of Navarre in the Maryborough-Castlemaine District league.
Hall outscored Navarre off his own boot as the Lions destroyed the Grasshoppers 28.22 (190) to 7.8 (50).
Hall had 18 scoring shots for a return of 11.7, with the Navarre quartet of Matthew Grinham, Riley Bibby, Ash Driscoll and Shannon Treloar all with the big job at times of playing on the imposing 42-year-old.
Meanwhile, Sea Lake Nandaly Tigers' unbeaten season in the North Central league continued on Saturday with a 42-point win over Donald.
For the first time this year the Tigers trailed at a break when Donald led 25-21 after a low-scoring first half.
However, the Tigers upped the ante in the second half, adding nine goals to one to run out 12.6 (78) to 5.6 (36) victors at Donald.
Brad Collins (four), who was Sea Lake Nandaly's best player, and Billy McInnes (three) kicked seven goals between them for the Tigers.
In Saturday's only other game on the first weekend of the split round 11, Charlton defeated bottom side Boort 19.21 (135) to 4.3 (27).
Charlton's Brock Orval outscored Boort on his own, slotting five goals to be named best for the Navies, who improved to 7-4.
