LODDON VALLEY LEAGUE - ROUND 13
CALIVIL UNITED v BRIDGEWATER
3pm Saturday at Calivil.
Bridgewater's unbeaten record faces a stern test when it makes the trip to Calivil for the clash of last year's grand finalists.
The Mean Machine continue to answer every challenge thrown at them and the third-placed Demons are bound to provide a tough one on their home court.
A loss will likely cost Calivil United - the last team to have beaten Bridgewater in the qualifying final last year - its spot in the top three, adding to the pressure for the Demons against the flag favourites.
Last time: Bridgewater 46 def Calivil United 41.
Since 2014: Bridgewater 7; Calivil United 6; Drawn 1.
PYRAMID HILL v MARONG
3pm Saturday at Pyramid Hill.
Opportunity knocking for Pyramid Hill to finally break through for its first win of the season.
The Bulldogs are playing on their home court against a Marong side that has won just two games - the last of which was in round four when it edged out Pyramid Hill by two goals.
With Inglewood to come next week, the Bulldogs aren't going to get any better opportunities over the next two rounds to get on the board in 2019.
Last time: Marong 48 def Pyramid Hill 46.
Since 2014: Pyramid Hill 9; Marong 2.
INGLEWOOD v NEWBRIDGE
3pm Saturday at Inglewood.
The Maroons are among the three sides, along with Calivil United and Maiden Gully YCW, jostling for third spot.
Newbridge heads into Saturday's game at Inglewood percentage outside the top three, but will grab hold of third if it knocks over the Blues, which they are favoured to do, and Bridgewater defeats Calivil United.
Both sides are coming off defeats last week: Newbridge by five to Mitiamo and Inglewood by 47 to Bridgewater when the Blues were held to the season's lowest score of just 15.
Last time: Newbridge 62 def Inglewood 42.
Since 2014: Newbridge 9; Inglewood 0.
BL-Serpentine v Mitiamo
1.30pm Saturday at Serpentine.
The Bears have been the big improvers of the competition this season, going from no wins last year to four so far in 2019.
But they are going to face a tough ask containing the second-placed Mitiamo that has won its past four games shooting scores of 49, 75, 65 and 60.
Last time: Mitiamo 64 def BL-Serpentine 45.
Since 2014: Mitiamo 11; BL-Serpentine 0.

HEATHCOTE DISTRICT LEAGUE - ROUND 12
LEITCHVILLE-GUNBOWER v ELMORE
2.45pm Saturday at Gunbower.
It's season-on-the line for the Bombers as far as their finals aspirations.
The Bombers at 3-6 sit six points behind fifth-placed Elmore and if they can't win this one on their home court then it's tough to see them bridging the gap over the remainder of the season.
Both teams will be hungry to get back on the winner's list given Elmore has lost its past two to slip from third to fifth, while the Bombers haven't won in their past five games, although they did take two points out of their abandoned match against North Bendigo last week.
Last time: Elmore 47 def Leitchville-Gunbower 30.
Since 2014: Leitchville-Gunbower 8; Elmore 2; Drawn 1.
HUNTLY v LBU
2.45pm Saturday at Huntly.
The Hawks should make it four wins in a row and further strengthen their hold of third position.
The Hawks are hitting their straps, having beaten fellow top-five sides Elmore by 13 and Mount Pleasant by four over their past three games.
While the Hawks are on the move, the season continues to be a tough grind for the Cats, who have now lost nine in a row by an average of 30 goals.
Last time: Huntly 52 def LBU 26.
Since 2014: Huntly 6; LBU 5.
WHITE HILLS v NORTH BENDIGO
2.45pm Saturday at White Hills.
In a season where they are already flying, there's been more good news for the Demons this week with the reappointment of Lauren Bowles as coach for next year.
Bowles - one of the competition's star players - is in her second season as Demons coach and has built a 25-2 win-loss record in her 27 games in charge.
The second-placed Demons disposed of Mount Pleasant 43-20 in tough conditions last week - the seventh time in their nine games this season they have more than doubled their opponent's score.
Mighty tough ask for North Bendigo, which will be striving to be much more competitive than the 50-goal hiding it copped off the Demons back in round three.
Last time: White Hills 86 def North Bendigo 36.
Since 2014: White Hills 6; North Bendigo 6.
HEATHCOTE v COLBINABBIN
1.45pm Sunday at Heathcote.
The Worksafe Game of the Month on Sunday will feature Melbourne Vixen Renae Ingles and the retired Eloise Southby - both who have won Commonwealth Games gold medals with Australia - involved in the coaching for both sides.
Shapes as a one-sided contest between the ladder-leading Grasshoppers and the Saints, who in a positive are coming off their first win of the season when they defeated LBU 41-33 a fortnight ago before a well-timed bye last week given the atrocious conditions.
Last time: Colbinabbin 48 def Heathcote 25.
Since 2014: Colbinabbin 11; Heathcote 0.
