The biggest battle of all was the extreme weather which included torrential rain and strong winds.

The match between Kangaroo Flat and Golden Square saw the Roos secure a 63-goal victory, final scores 74-11.

"The weather was definitely a battle, we knew that it was going to be hard out on the court today," Roos' coach Jayden Cowling said.

"It's a different game altogether playing out there in the wet, but we still maintained our structure for the game.

"The girls came out firing from the first whistle and put in a good performance."

The Roos will now move to a 7-2-1 record while the Bulldogs are 0-10.

The Roos' have asserted themselves as a top three team following the win and will look to keep up the form in the coming rounds.

"We didn't want to drop off after a great win over Sandhurst last week," Cowling said.

"We're so pleased to secure another massive win today...we will take it week by week and come out firing against Gisborne after the bye week."

Gisborne and Kyneton also faced tough conditions, with the Bulldogs securing a narrow three-goal victory over the Tigers, final scores 31-34.

"We're just happy to come away with the win, the torrential rain throughout the whole game didn't help. We've all got very cold bodies " Bulldogs' player Maddy Stewart laughed.

Top of the ladder Gisborne now move to an 8-1 record while Kyneton is 3-4-1.

"It was just as much a mental game as it was physical," Stewart said.

"But we all just wanted to get out onto the court and on with the game, weather like that isn't something you can train for."

Over at Tannery Lane the game was called off just after half time due to lightning, extreme winds and heavy rain.

At that stage of the game Sandhurst led 29-21 over Strathfieldsaye.

The game was neck and neck up until half time, but just before it was called off the Dragons were just starting to pull away.

"We were starting to get a good run just before the weather hit," Dragons' coach Tamara Gilchrist said.

"It's hard to play wet weather netball, but it was good to see the girls were adapting to the conditions."

It will be a memorable game for the Dragons' Erica Dalrymple-Monro, who was celebrating her 200^th game with the club.

"Erica was awesome in the game, she is so versatile, we can stick her anywhere on the court," Gilchrist said.

"It was definitely a memorable 200^th game for her that's for sure."

Down at the Queen Elizabeth Oval courts the game between South Bendigo and Eaglehawk was called off due to lightning and flooding on the court.

The scores between the Bloods and the Hawks were tied at 24-24 when the decision was made by the umpires to end play.
