A Powercor spokesperson said crews were working to replace three cross-arms in the Tarnagulla area.
Exactly 524 customers were affected.
Powercor expected power to all affected customers to be restored by 3pm.
The works followed safety inspections in the area.
"If an inspector identifies equipment that needs to be replaced urgently, we may need to impact power to customers to allow crews to safely conduct work," the Powercor spokesperson said.
"When we take customers off supply, we do notify them through SMS, our website or our call centre.
"We thank customers for their understanding as we conduct this work to ensure we are continuing to deliver safe and reliable power."
This is the second time in as many weeks urgent works have been conducted in the area, with more than 500 customers offline on Thursday as Powercor crews worked to replace a power pole.
