It is believed black ice may have been a factor in the incident, which occurred at Little Hampton just before 8am.
The driver is now out of the truck but the Daylesford-Trentham Road is blocked.
Police and ambulance are on scene, although it is believed the driver has escaped any serious injury.
Black ice is a danger on roads, particularly low lying areas, bridges and freeway overpasses and is usually formed when it is raining and the air temperature is below 0 degrees.
Overnight, the mercury plummeted to 0.9 degrees in Bendigo at 11pm and rose to 2.2 degrees by 7.30am, though it felt like -1.2 degrees, according to the Bureau of Meteorology.
