BENDIGO Bank customers should now be able to make payments using EFTPOS facilities and withdraw cash from ATMs.
It follows a network issue affecting a number of financial institutions.
A spokesperson said Bendigo Bank thanked customers for their patience and sincerely apologised for the inconvenience.
ING has also advised customers, via social media, that they ought to be able to use their ING cards as usual.
"We appreciate your understanding while this was being resolved," the bank said in a tweet.
Update, 6.35pm:
BENDIGO Bank has advised customers to use the credit option on their MasterCard debit cards if available at point-of-sale transactions to work around a network issue.
A bank spokesperson said customers using Bendigo Bank debit cards were affected when trying to use the savings or cheque options for point-of-sale transactions.
The network issue is affecting Bendigo Bank payment cards, merchant point-of-sale terminals and ATMs.
"Bendigo Bank ATMs are only working currently for Bendigo Bank cardholders," the bank spokesperson said.
"Bendigo Bank cardholders will not be able to access cash at non-Bendigo Bank ATMs.'
Bendigo Bank is not the only affected financial institution, with ING and Bank Australia also reporting issues.
"We are working hard with our payments partner to resolve as quickly as possible and we sincerely apologise to any affected customers," the Bendigo Bank spokesperson said.
"We will let you know as more information comes to hand."
He said customers could contact the bank on 1300 236 344 with any specific queries or issues.
EARLIER: A NUMBER of banks are experiencing issues with card services.
Bendigo Bank, ING Australia and Bank Australia customers are known to be affected.
ING has advised customers the issue is affecting EFTPOS payments and ATM withdrawals. It is believed to have been ongoing for several hours.
Bank Australia said the issue was affecting cash withdrawals from ANZ, Commonwealth Bank, Westpac and Australia Post outlets. Other banks' ATMs were not believed to be affected.
