CMC hosts Mornington Secondary College in the semi-finals at the QEO on Wednesday.
The winner advances to next Wednesday's grand final where they'll face the winner of the other semi-final between Essendon-Keilor College and Emmanuel College.
CMC, who finished in top spot in pool B, goes into Wednesday's game with close to a full squad available.
Ben Worme returns to the side from Victoria Country under-18 duties, but South Bendigo senior player Will Tobin will miss the rest of the season because of injury.
CMC's opponent Mornington finished second in pool A behind Essendon-Keilor College
"Mornington is new to the league this year so we have no real gaugue to go by,'' CMC coach Lee Coghlan said.
"Looking at their scores they'll be more than competitive. Essendon-Keilor is the benchmark in this competition and Mornington were close enough to them.
"We're expecting a really tough game and we're looking forward to it."
Coghlan said the CMC side was ready to take its game to another level.
"The last game in Warrnambool we had quite a few players unavailable, so that halted our momentum because we had a completely different side in,'' he said.
"The boys improved from the Emmanuel College game to the Bendigo Senior Secondary College game, so hopefully we can play our best game of the year so far."
Wednesday's game starts at 1pm.
