Monfries was reported by central umpire John Norton for allegedly charging South Bendigo's Tom Brereton in Saturday's clash at Harry Trott Oval.
Monfries, who wasn't reported in his 211-game AFL career with Essendon and Port Adelaide, has tried his best to lift the battling Magpies.
He's kicked 16 goals for the season and has been in their best five players in all but one of the club's nine matches.
Gisborne coach Clinton Young has accepted an automatic two-match ban after being reported by two umpires for engaging in rough conduct in Saturday's loss to Golden Square.
The former Hawthorn and Collingwood wingman was late to a contest with Golden Square's Adam Baird.
He'll miss the second-placed Bulldogs' clashes with Castlemaine and Kyneton.
In the LVFNL, Pyramid Hill duo Michael Bateman and Brad Driscoll will both front the tribunal on striking charges.
Driscoll was reported by umpires Paula Shay and Robert Hicks for allegedly striking Bridgewater's Ben Galea.
Bateman was reported by umpire Paul Shay for allegedly striking Bridgewater's Liam Jacques.
The Monfries, Driscoll and Bateman cases will all be heard on Wednesday night at the AFL Central Victoria Regional Administration Centre.
