The Victorian Winter Fair is the largest single breed Holstein cattle show in Australia, with exhibitors travelling from across Victoria, NSW, South Australia and Tasmania to compete.
Winter Fair director Clare Modra said this year's event will feature a new youth award.
"This year there will be a kids award - the Youth Excellence Award," she said.
"Previously, we've held the junior judging and handling as separate prizes, this year it will be a points based system, so kids in both events can win the award, which will hopefully encourage more kids to go in the junior judging competition."
Entries are still incoming, but organisers are expecting 180 head to be shown at this year's fair.
"It is a showcase of some of Australia's finest Holsteins," Clare said.
The Victorian Winter Fair will be held on Wednesday, July 3 and Thursday, July 4 at Bendigo Exhibition Centre, Prince of Wales Showgrounds, North Bendigo.
