The Tigers completed the first half sweep by thrashing fourth-placed Wedderburn by 104 points on Saturday.
In one of their most impressive performances of the season, the Tigers kicked eight goals to one in the first term and led by 116 points at the final change before cruising to a 23.20 (158) to 8.6 (54) win.
Young midfielder Wade Donnan was superb for the Tigers, while Bryce Delmenico continued his great form and Billy McInnes kicked seven goals to take his season tally to 39.
The undermanned Redbacks were best served by Jake Hayes, Jackson Guan and Jaran McKay.
The heavy defeat cost Wedderburn valuable percentage. The Redbacks go into the halfway mark in fourth place - one win and 24.44 percent ahead of fifth-placed Donald.
Donald closed the gap on the Redbacks for the last spot in the finals by defeating Wycheproof-Narraport by 108 points.
A 10-goal haul to star forward Seamus Young was the highlight of the 21.16 (142) to 5.4 (34) win.
Matt Coleman, Daniel Pearce and Jacob Werts were other players to shine for Donald.
The Demons kicked 4.2 in the opening quarter, but could only manage 1.2 for the rest of the match.
George Turner, Rolly White and Ricky Allan were best for the battling Demons.
Birchip-Watchem kicked the final seven goals of the game to defuse Charlton's hopes of an upset win.
Charlton kicked the first three goals of the third term to cut the Bulls' 28-point half-time lead to just 11 points.
With pressure mounting, Birchip-Watchem responded.
Goals to Fraser House and Stephen Paulke steadied the ship and the margin was back to 23 points at thre quarter-time.

Tom Finlay, Aaron Walklate and coach Kain Robins were best for a Charlton side that enters the second half of the season in third place.
As expected, St Arnaud outclassed bottom side Boort, but it wasn't all doom and gloom for the Magpies.
The 15.15 (10) to 4.7 (31) scoreline was Boort's cloest margin of the season and its best defensive effort of the season.
The margin was only six goals at the final change before the Saints kicked 6.5 to 0.3 in the last term.
Tom Eltringham kicked seven goals for the home side, while James Coloe, Jack Tillig, Conlan Gunn and Jacob Tillig were four quarter performers.
The Saints are now just one game and percemtage outside of the top four at the halfway mark.
Boort's best players on Saturday were Keiren Wilson, James Wilson, Jack Smith and Mitchell Buchanan.
