After the 19 point-win over the Bandits the Braves women now sit second on the ladder with a 13-1 record.
"Last night was one of our better defensive performances so far this season," coach Megan Moody said.
"It was a really good team win. Every single player contributed on the floor- great performance from everyone."
The Braves women led each quarter, with a five-point 18-23 lead at the first, a 12-point 26-38 lead at the second, a 17-point 45-62 lead at the third and sealed the game by 19 points with the final scores at 57-76.
One challenge for the women was playing without a few of their key players.
"We were missing a couple and we weren't quite at full strength. But it was a good opportunity for other players to step up and show what they can do," Moody said.
"Bianca Dufelmeier had a fantastic game.
"She really broke it open for us during the game by knocking down some massive threes in the third quarter and the defensive energy she provided on defence all night was terrific."
Dufelmeier finished the game with 19 points while American import Becca Tobin led the points with 22, backed up with 12 rebounds.
Moody is more than happy with the team's progression throughout the season so far.
With only five rounds left of the regular season, the team is preparing to take it all the way to finals.
"We are getting to the point where all of the things we've worked towards are starting to show, just in time for the right end of the season," Moody said.
Braves men move to a balanced 7-7 record after the ten-point win over the Bandits.
The team led at each quarter, with a one-point 22-23 lead at the first, a 14-point 33-47 lead at the second, a 15-point 57-72 lead at the third and finished the game off with a 10-point buffer, 83-93.
American import Deonte Burton was the team's leading scorer with 29 points, while Mathiang Muo finished with 28 at an 88 two-point shooting per cent average.
The Bendigo Braves will now prepare to host their biggest rivals in the Ballarat Miners next week for round eleven of the NBL1.
