Three people have been taken to hospital, including a five-year-old, after a collision in St Aidans Road, Kennington this morning.
The crash involved a blue sedan travelling east and a blue hatchback turning out of Clare Court.
The collision left both cars with extensive damages.
A 24-year-old woman and a child travelling in the hatchback was taken to hospital as a precaution, First Constable Jordan Norris said.
So was the 66-year-old Bendigo woman travelling in the sedan.
The road was blocked in both directions as firefighters and tow-truck operators cleared the cars off of the road.

Police were investigating the cause of the crash and no charges have been laid, First Constable Norris said.
The incident was a reminder to all drivers to be cautious and pay full attention on the roads.
"Take extra care given the increased road toll," First Constable Norris said.
Nearly 150 people have been killed on Victorian roads this year, a 54.2 per cent increase from the same time last year, according to TAC data last updated on Thursday night.
