THE Heathcote District, Loddon Valley, Maryborough-Castlemaine District and North Central leagues will be all on show in Sunday's KL Gold Gala Day of representative football and netball at Maiden Gully.
Over 375 players will converge on Marist College for the matches, which feature:
Heathcote District: 13's, 15's & 17's netball. 15's & 18's football.
Loddon Valley: 13's, 15's & 17's netball. 15's & 18's football.
Maryborough-Castlemaine District: 13's, 15's & 17's netball. 15's & 18's football.
North Central Netball: 13's, 15's & 17's netball.
North Central Football: 15's football.
The day's action kicks off at 10am.
The football feature matches are the under-15 game between the HDNFL and LVFNL for the Trevor Arnel Trophy at 1pm and the under-18 HDFNL v LVFNL game for the Neville Strauch Memorial Cup at 12.50pm.

THE Bendigo Junior Football League will play Ballarat in its annual Goldfields Trophy encounter on Saturday.
The two leagues will meet at Sebastopol's Marty Busch Reserve in seven games - under-15 girls (10am); under-12 boys (10am); under-13 boys (11.25am); under-18 girls (11.25am); under-14 boys (12.50pm); under-15 boys (12.50pm); under-16 boys (2.40pm).

THE Bendigo Pioneers have five players in the Victoria Country under-16 squad to play Vic Metro in the first match of the AFL Under-16 Championships at Geelong's GMHBA Stadium on Sunday.
The Vic Country squad for the game features Pioneers' players Cooper Hamilton (named half-back); Lincoln White (half-forward); Hugh Hamilton (forward pocket); Oscar Faulkhead (interchange) and Bode Stevens (emergency).
The Vic Country under-16 girls squad that began its campaign last weekend with a 10-point loss to South Australia at Mount Gambier includes Jayda Richardson, Drew Ryan, Madeline Marks and Tara Slender from the Pioneers.

CALIVIL United and Charlton are among 30 clubs from across the state that will receive grants of up to $1000 to improve their canteen facilities.
The funding is through the Energy Safe Victoria Safer Canteen Grants Program.
Charlton, along with Maiden Gully Junior Football Club, will also receive funding to improve club safety.
The pair are among 22 clubs that will share in over $55,000 from the AFL Victoria-WorkSafe Club Safety Fund to undertake upgrades such as improved goalpost padding, defibrillator replacements and helmets for junior players.

THE Bendigo Thunder (0-6) is on the road to Henry Turner Reserve to play the ladder-leading VU Western Spurs (6-0) from 3pm on Sunday in the Northern Football League Women's.
