A female will be transported to Melbourne with serious but non-life threatening injuries after a crash in Maldon on Friday morning.
Police say a car travelling on Lowther Street left the road and struck a power pole at about 4.40am.
The female transported to hospital was driving the car.
Police believe a second occupant of the car left the scene before they arrived.
Lowther Street remains closed while the scene is cleared.
Police will investigate the cause of the crash.

EMERGENCY services are on scene after a car crashed into a power pole in Maldon early on Friday morning.
The incident occurred about 4.40am on Lowther Street, Maldon.
Police and ambulance and Country Fire Authority crews attended.
An authority spokeswoman said there were two people in the car.
At least one has been treated by paramedics.
A Victoria Police spokesman said Powercor was on its way.
He said once the power was switched off, the car could be towed.
On Thursday afternoon, a 52-year-old Campbells Creek man after died a crash at Colbinabbin.
The crash brought the state's 2019 road toll to 148.
