The wettest of the weather has left central Victoria.
A severe weather warning now only exists in eastern Victoria, with a cold front over the state's west likely to clear away overnight, according to the Bureau of Meteorology.
Bendigo has had 14.2mm of rain since 9am. Redesdale has had 16.8mm and Maryborough got 19mm.
The Bendigo SES crew was called to three jobs related to the weather, while Marong's went to none.
There is a 50 per cent chance of a shower or two over Bendigo, Castlemaine and Maryborough this evening.
Update, 11.20am:
A SEVERE weather warning remains for damaging winds remains in place for most of Victoria as a rain band sweeps across the state.
The Bureau of Meteorology expects damaging winds to gradually ease from the west during the afternoon.
Bendigo and Maryborough are among the locations likely to be affected.
The bureau has warned sheep graziers in forecast districts including the Mallee, Wimmera, Northern Country, North Central, Central of a risk of losses of lambs and sheep exposed to the cold temperatures, heavy rain and showers and northwesterly winds.
North East Victoria is on flood watch.
Damaging winds averaging 60 - 70 kilometres an hour with peak gusts of about 100km/h are forecast across Victoria, mainly in elevated areas.
Gusts are expected to increase to 100-110km/h across the central ranges and up to 120km/h above 1200 metres.
More than seven millimetres of rain has fallen in Bendigo since 9am.
The State Emergency Service has advised people to:
- Move vehicles under cover or away from trees;
- Secure or put away loose items around your house, yard and balcony;
- Keep clear of fallen power lines.
The next severe weather warning is expected by 5pm today.
Update, 8.20am:
Bendigo can expect 15 to 35 millimetres of rain on Wednesday as a heavy cloud band moves across the state.
A total of 2.8 millimetres has fallen overnight.
Bureau of Meteorology senior forecaster Richard Carlyon said the heaviest rainfall would likely be later this morning and during the early afternoon.
He said Wednesday would see the heaviest rainfall for the week, with isolated showers expected in the next few days.

SEVERE weather could affect almost all of Victoria on Wednesday, as a cold front brings strong winds and rain to the state.
The Bureau of Meteorology issued an updated weather warning at 4.30am.
It warns a rain band with associated strong winds will move across the state on Wednesday.
Thunderstorms with heavy rain that could lead to flash flooding are possible in the morning in the Wimmera and southern Mallee districts.
Bendigo is among the locations that could be affected, along with Maryborough, Horsham, Warrnambool, Shepparton, Seymour, Ballarat, Geelong, Melbourne, Wodonga, Wangaratta, Traralgon and Bairnsdale.
Central Victoria can expect wind gusts of up to 100-110 kilometres an hour in the morning, mainly in elevated areas. There is lesser chance of wind gusts up to 100km/h in areas less than 1200 metres.
The bureau also forecast damaging winds, averaging 60 to 70km/h with peak gusts of about 100km/h, for the west of the state on Wednesday morning.
It expects winds to gradually ease from the west during the afternoon.
The State Emergency Service advises people should:
- Move vehicles under cover or away from trees;
- Secure or put away loose items around the house, yard and balcony;
- Keep clear of fallen power lines;
- Avoid walking, riding or driving through flood water;
- Keep clear of creeks and storm drains;
- Be aware that in fire affected areas, rainfall run-off into waterways might contain debris such as ash, soil, trees and rocks; and
- Be alert that in areas recently affected by fires, heavy rainfall increases the potential for landslides and debris across roads
The next severe weather warning will be issued by 11am.
