It's going to take a major fumble from Golden Square to not win the 2019 premiership, but with an in-form Kangaroo Flat and Strathfieldsaye trailing closely behind - anything can happen between now and the pointy end of the season
Meanwhile, Eaglehawk is still without a win in its debut year in the CVFLW, but remain positive with several players in their first season of competitive football.
Here is how each club is tracking going into the mid-season break.
1st - Golden Square
- Record - 7-0
- Percentage - 512.61%
- Points - 28
- Leading goalkickers - Amanda Carrod 15, Tiffany Bradley 8
The Bulldogs' coach Rick Ladson said there were still plenty of games left in the season and areas where his team needed to improve.
"Each week I see a lot that we as a team need to work on," Ladson said.
"Even though we are 7-0 there's no such thing as sitting back and relaxing, that's for sure."
2nd - Kangaroo Flat
- Record - 5-2
- Percentage - 276.47%
- Points 20
- Leading goalkickers - Kelly Mensforth 18, Lily McNair 12
The Roos' coach Mark Hull was confident his team will come back even stronger in the second half of the season.
"There are definitely a few things we need to work on in order for us to beat Golden Square, we know where we have gone wrong," Hull said.
"Some of our first quarters have been some of our worst, which we need to fix up, especially against the better teams we need to play four full quarters of strong footy."
However, what had impressed Hull the most so far was the quality of all players in the league.
"The standard of footy from all the teams has gone through the roof, which has been great to see."
3rd - Strathfieldsaye
- Record - 4-3
- Percentage - 140.32%
- Points - 16
- Leading goalkickers - Britney Mueck 19, Alice Bailey 11, Grace Edlin 11
The Storm's coach Graham Gamble was pleased with how his new-look team had performed so far this season.
"We started off with about eight core players from the grand final side last year," Gamble said.
"And with the natural progression we have taken on a lot of new players who haven't been playing footy for all that long.
"But each week we grow stronger as a team and improve on a new part of our game, to see the resilience within the team strengthen each week is very rewarding."
4th - North Bendigo
- Record - 3-4
- Percentage - 43.48%
- Points - 12
- Leading goalkickers - Alisha Lourie 9, Sharna Appleby 3
The Bulldogs' coach Alana Long said the team had performed well during challenging games against Kangaroo Flat and Square.
"We kept the strong teams to low scores and we've had a few good wins which has been rewarding and motivates us to keep on playing our best," Long said.
"Our goal is to go out during each match and play our game and not let the stronger teams dictate how we play, but most of all just go out and enjoy some footy."
An area of improvement Long was focused on between now and when the season recommences is the team's goalkicking accuracy.
5th - Kyneton
- Record - 2-5
- Percentage - 51.11%
- Points - 8
- Leading goalkickers - Heidi Erasmus 10, Jane Rolls 4
Tigers' coach Natalie Korfinsky said it had been a slow start to the season.
"We've got a lot of new players that have come in so we have been helping build their skill levels up," Korfinsky said.
"We have an eclectic mixture of players which is awesome but at the same time presents challenges - but overall we are a very supportive and inclusive group.
"Our goal is to aim to get a few more wins on the board before the end of the season.
"Going forward our focus is on the fundamentals and basic skills, and undertaking solid game plays which everyone can wrap their head around."
Korfinsky is very pleased with the performances so far, especially during the team's strong wins over Eaglehawk.
6th - Eaglehawk
- Record - 0-7
- Percentage - 18.5%
- Points - 0
- Leading goalkickers - Emma McLean 5, Rochelle Daley 2
The Hawks' coach Allan Godfrey was happy with his team's effort, despite a winless record.
"Each week the girls are improving a new part of their game," Godfrey said.
"But in all honesty we're putting in some good efforts - we have a lot of girls who have never played before so it has been a learning curve for a lot of the team."
Godfrey was was pleased with his team's resilience after each loss.
"Each game we've had moments where we know we could've improved, so to see the strong resilience of the girls is really good - we all stick together as a team very well."
This season is the Hawks' first year in the CVFLW and Godfrey has been using it as an opportunity for the team to develop.
"There's no real big secret, we need to improve - it doesn't matter how hard we work off the field it's simply about getting the girls some more game time."
