The round eight match is the first time the teams have met since the 2018 grand final where the Dragons edged the Bulldogs by five goals in an overtime thriller.
As it stands the Dragons sit on top of the ladder with a 6-0 record with Gisborne close behind in second on 5-1 after the one-goal loss to Eaglehawk last week.
"We love playing against Sandhurst, we always tend to have great matches when we come up against each other," Gisborne captain Maddy Stewart said.
"It was very disappointing to lose the grand final to them last year, especially because it went into overtime."
After last weekend's loss to Eaglehawk Stewart noticed a few key areas where the team could improve.
"We have addressed a couple things which didn't really work last weekend, such as we were beaten on speed," Stewart said.
"And Sandhurst are a quick team so it's going to be key to delay their plays on the court."

The Dragons coach Tamara Gilchrist said the team had its game plan ready for the grand final rematch.
"We know what we want to achieve and how we want to play," Gilchrist said.
"Gisborne are a super side and strong all over the court so we have to make sure we are on our game from the word go.
"They are very physical and strong across the court."
As the top team and reigning premiers the Dragons are the talk of the league.
"We know everyone is out to beat us at the moment but we will just go about our business and take each week as it comes," Gilchrist said.
Both teams will be fielding full squads with no injuries, so spectators are set for a blockbuster match between the Bulldogs and Dragons at Gardiner Reserve at 3.20pm on Saturday afternoon.
In other games, Kangaroo Flat 4-2 will host Maryborough 2-1-3 at Dower Park, 3.20pm.
The Roos sit in fourth position on the ladder with the Magpies just outside of the top five in sixth position.
Kyneton 2-1-3 will host an in-form Eaglehawk 4-1-1 at the Kyneton Showgrounds at 3.20pm.
The fifth placed Tigers will have a tough task to defeat the third placed Hawks who showed strong signs last week as premiership contenders after the one-goal win over the Dragons.
Strathfieldsaye 1-5 will host South Bendigo 2-1-4 at Tannery Lane at 2.30pm.
The Storm sit in eighth position on the ladder, just one spot shy of the Bloods in seventh.
