NO team has beaten an opponent above it, or lost to one below it, as the North Central league ladder stands with a full set of matches completed.

All teams have now played each other once and the ladder provides the perfect indication of the pecking order - Sea Lake Nandaly, Birchip-Watchem, Charlton, Wedderburn, Donald, St Arnaud, Wycheproof-Narraport and Boort - given all results so far are reflective of current positions.

Flag favourite Sea Lake Nandaly has now beaten every team after disposing of St Arnaud by 75 points on Saturday.

With Billy McInnes (four), Luke Martin (three) and Wade Donnan (three) combining for 10 goals, the red-hot Tigers ran out 14.19 (103) to 4.4 (28) victors.

As they had done in their previous six games, the Tigers again led at every break, with their best players headed by Matt Elliott, Wade Donnan and Bryce Delmenico.

Harley Durward, coach Jacob Tillig and William Jackson battled hard for the Saints, who suffered their third loss in a row.

* Charlton is carrying the mantle as the "best of the rest" behind power pair Sea Lake Nandaly and Birchip-Watchem.

The Navies leaped Wedderburn into third position after beating the Redbacks at home by 27 points.

Accuracy was an issue for both teams as they combined for 16.29, with the Navies winning 10.16 (76) to 6.13 (49).

The victory was the fifth in a row for the Navies in what's now their best winning streak since their premiership season of 2016.

Key forward Joe McGrath and Brock Orval slotted three goals each for the Navies, whose best player was veteran Aaron Walklate.

A week after notching his 200^th game for the Redbacks, the evergreen Ben DeAraugo was Wedderburn's only multiple goalkicker with three.

* It has taken until round seven, but reigning premier Wycheproof-Narraport has its first win on the board.

The Demons continued Boort's season of struggle with a 110-point victory, 22.12 (144) to 4.10 (34).

The Demons' James Coatsworth with six goals outscored the Magpies off his own boot to be one of 11 goalkickers for Wycheproof-Narraport.

Having been held to scores of just 9, 8, 7, 7, 1 and 8 in their first six opening terms of the season, the Demons burst out of the blocks.

The Demons raced to a 50-point advantage at quarter-time as they led 8.3 to 0.1.

While it was another heavy loss for Boort - albeit its lowest losing margin this year - the Magpies did win their first quarter of the season when they outscored the Demons 16-12 in the second.

Co-coach Sam Griffiths kicked two of Boort's four goals.

* Birchip-Watchem kicked the first six goals of the game en route to its 56-point victory over Donald.

After being jumped early the Royals closed the gap to 13 points at half-time as the Bulls led 6.5 to 4.4.

But it was all one-way traffic in the second half as the Bulls piled on nine goals to one to finish 15.9 (99) to 5.13 (43) victors.

Bulls' forward Stephen Paulke bagged four goals and is one of only three players, along with the Sea Lake Nandaly pair of McInnes and Jacob Schaper, who have kicked a goal in every game their team has played.

The Bulls were best served by Nathan Gordon and Stefan Pye, while Kyle Matthews played well for Donald.
