The gas main has been repaired.
Earlier:
Emergency services are attending the scene of a ruptured gas main on MacKenzie Street West, which has created a hole in the road.
The rupture has created a hole in the centre of the north-bound lane, near Shinda Court in Golden Square.
Police are managing traffic in the area. Firefighters are on scene.
CFA were called to the scene in response to a strong smell of gas in the area, coming from a hole in the ground.
The gas company is investigating the incident.
