Former Bendigo Spirit player Tess Madgen has been announced to replace Nadeen Payne ahead of the Bendigo Braves' double-header weekend.

Braves made the announcement on Friday afternoon that Madgen would replace an injured Payne who had recently "undergone a minor procedure".
"We welcome Tess Madgen to the group and thank her for joining us midway through the season," coach Megan Moody said.
Madgen has experience in the WNBL, WNBA and the Australian Opals.
"Tess has a wealth of experience that will help the group continue to improve as the season progresses," Moody said.
"It's no easy feat coming into a team at a midpoint.
"However, I think she will adjust and fit in nicely with the girls this year."
Madgen is currently at the top of her game, with a recent stint playing in Spain.
"I have played with a lot of the girls on the team before and when the opportunity came to play with them again I couldn't pass it up," Madgen said.
"I have played with Megan and she has transitioned into a fantastic coach and I look forward to working with her and the girls."
Madgen's first match will be this weekend for the Braves' double-header against the Nunawading Spectres on Saturday and Dandenong Rangers on Sunday.
Braves women are currently third on the ladder with an 8-1 record, Spectres sit in fifth with 7-3 and the Rangers are just shy of the top in second with 9-1.
Braves men will head into round eight eager for a win following last weekend's on the buzzer loss to Waverley Falcons.
The men sit in sixth position on the ladder with a 5-4 record, Spectres sit in second with 7-3 and Rangers tenth with 5-5.
Braves men's coach David Hogan said the team was up against "two tough teams" this weekend.
"It's definitely going to be a tough weekend," Hogan said.
"Last weekend was a good loss for us, if there is such a thing - you can learn more from losses than you can when you win."
Hogan said he reviewed the match against Waverley and identified mistakes.
"This week our focus is 100 per cent on defense, we know we can score now it's all about what happens down the other end of the court," Hogan said.
Braves v Spectres: women 5.30pm, men 7.30pm Saturday May 25 at Nunawading Basketball Centre. Braves v Rangers: women 12pm, men 2pm, Sunday May 26 at Dandenong Basketball Centre.
