The Bush Dance and Music Club are holding a family dance on Saturday, May 25. Dances on the program will be old time and bush dances. Music will be by the Emu Creek Bush band. FILM SCREENING
To mark National Reconciliation Week, Bendigo Library is honoured to be welcomed back to country by elders of the Dja Dja Wurrung people. This ceremony will breathe life into our commitment to a better Bendigo, as we work with those of all cultural traditions to build a city based on our shared values of respect and dignity.
Elders will welcome us to country and undertake a smoking ceremony followed by a screening of Murundak: Songs of Freedom, our contribution to the Central Victorian Indigenous Film Festival. People of the First Nations and members of the wider community are invited to participate.

MONTHLY WORKING BEE
Join Friends of Golden Square Pool for their monthly working bee!
These are relaxed, casual, one-hour working bees on the last Sunday of each month, where we'll tick a few jobs off the list in our preparations for Season 2019/2020. After, we'll gather at the kiosk for a cuppa, coffee and chat! We'd love you to come and join our family, to continue the positive work in building Golden Square's beating heart.

HISTORICAL SOCIETY OPEN DAY
The Colbinabbin and District Historical Society are holding open days at the Colbinabbin Commemorative Hall the weekend of June 1. The open day is free and welcome to all ages.
The Historical Society will be putting many of their resources on show, including a special display on the Furphy Family, who are celebrating 150 years since they moved to the Colbinabbin district. The Furphy ancestors Samuel and Judith Furphy, arrived in Hobson's Bay aboard the Barque Argyle and after spending time at Kangaroo Ground and Kyneton, they selected land in the Lake Cooper district. It is believed that they moved to the selected land at Lake Cooper on the May 24, 1869. Their future generations have gone on to many varied and influential occupations in Australia.

THE BEST OF TIMES THE WORST OF TIMES
Donkeys. Umbrellas. Women scorned. Debtor's Prison. Ladies of the night, the day and any other time. Criminals. The lost and the found. Ghosts. Infant phenomena. The Best of Times, The Worst of Times - A Woman's Lot in Charles Dickens is the latest exhibition from Dressing Australia Museum of Costume.
All will be found at Dudley House in Bendigo from Wednesday. As will spectacular gowns from several decades of the 19th century. Gowns of taffeta, damask, rustling silk. Frocks so wide they struggle to get through the door. Gowns of this importance and quality are not often on display. This Exhibition showcases 21 of them - including four rare children's outfits. Good taste, bad taste, accessories, rare objects.

FIELD AND GAME
Dunolly and District Field and Game Club is situated at the southern end of the Loddon Shire. We conduct simulated field shoots on the last Sunday of the month from February to November. All visitors (both shooters and non-shooters) are welcome to attend our event.
We do not shoot on total fire ban days. Meetings are held on the 1st Wednesday of each month (7.30pm) at the SES Shed on Broadway in Dunolly. For more information contact Nigel 0448 483 752 or Gordon 0428 890 908

TUDORS TO WINDSOR
More than 150 British portraits of royalty are on display at the Bendigo Art Gallery.
The major exhibition - Tudors to Windsors: British Royal Portraits - features works on loan from London's National Portrait Gallery with some never having been seen outside of the United Kingdom.
Tudors to Windsors highlights major events in British and world history from the 16th century to present day.
The portraits will allow the gallery visitors to study the royal family faces of the Tudors, the Stuarts, the Georgians, the Victorians and the Windsors.
Cost: Adult $25, Concession $22, Bendigo Art Gallery Member $20, PGAV Member $20.
